Washington, DC Bicycles
As a hardcore cyclist, I love all things cycling, particularly the very machine itself. During lunch breaks, I like to go outside and sketch some of the bicycles I see locked-up all over the sidewalks of Washington, DC. Done in roughly 1/2 hour, I start with some quick pencil lines to get the wheels and frame in proportion, and to map out details like saddles, crank arms, and the handlebar/stem. From there, I ink the drawing, and then add the colors with markers. All of these were done in a 4" x 6" sketchbook.
